About Tap and Go Podcast

The Tap and Go Podcast brings to you weekly conversation with all sorts of people involved in sport including past and present athletes, coaches and pundits. We like to represent the guest as an individual rather than a player, a coach or a pundit and thus often result in light-hearted conversations on topics far away from their field of expertises. It’s important to recognise that these individuals are more than just stars who appear on TV, and that they have opinions and interests outside of the game. Being such a young host, the podcast has gradually moved towards focusing on the worlds next stars. Being thankful, however, for every single guest they still to speak a to a very large field of guests from a wide field of sports.  Listen every Saturday during a series to hear about what these players, coaches and pundits are really like in person.

At the Tap and Go, we have been proud to to speak to World Cup winners, leading journalists and CEOs. The hosts have prided themselves on quality while keeping the enjoyability which every podcast needs. Being so young and talking to such experienced and exciting people in fields which we are truly passionate about comes across in every episode. For them, it is not just about asking the important questions, but also learning as they go by speaking to people from far and wide across the world. Each time an episode is recorded, one can be sure there will be something unique, insightful or new. Variety is a massive part of what we think makes an interesting podcast, which is why each episode delves into aspects of professionals lives which may not always be seen in front of the camera’s. We want to find out those things which not everyone does know, but what everyone should know. So whatever the sport, the conversation which the Tap and Go brings you will be well worth half an hour of your time.

Meet the hosts

Freddie

Freddie

Having played sport for all his life, Freddie's passion and drive would not be questioned by anyone - whether it be cricket, rugby, curling or tennis his passion for following and learning never ceases to amaze. Although remembering facts for school subjects was never Freddie's forte, his ability to recall stats for all sports made up for this. This was helped by a healthy addiction of watching, researching and listening to sports almost everyday. Looking for a career centered around sports, the podcast has provided Freddie with a way into this profession whilst equally enjoying discussing this hobby with various friends and guests. It allows him to meet heroes, icons and learn so much about the thing that he loves. Despite having spent his time in the front row with his head at the bottom of a ruck or with a ball being thrown at his head, his understanding of any game is obvious for anyone to see. His polite nature, alongside thought provoking questions makes any episode an insightful and enjoyable experience for the average listener.
Matt (Guest-Host)

Matt (Guest-Host)

Often finding himself waking up at the early hours on the weekend to watch a game, Matt has decided to sell his soul to the sport. Although still stubborn in believing that the Southern Hemisphere game is far superior to their Northern counterparts, he still loves to get involved in discussion regarding Northern Hemisphere players and teams. Some say that if you mention the Wallabies or the Waratahs, you will be forced to listen to a three hour lecture on them.
